Terms of Use
Effective 2 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the dueby mobile app and the service behind it (together, “dueby”), provided by Szymon Zygzuła, ul. Prezydenta Lecha Kaczyńskiego 24A/90, 80-365 Gdańsk, Poland (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using dueby you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data. These terms are available free of charge, without an account, on this page, where you can save or print them; on request we will email you a copy.
1. The service
dueby helps you keep track of recurring tasks, reminds you when they become due, and lets you share tasks with other dueby users. dueby is currently free of charge. We may change, add or remove features over time. We will tell you in advance, where reasonably possible, about changes that significantly reduce what dueby does for you.
2. What you need to use dueby
- An iPhone with iOS 15 or later, or — where dueby is offered for Android — an Android phone with Android 7.0 or later. On an iPad, dueby runs as an iPhone app.
- An internet connection to create an account, sign in and make changes. Without one, dueby shows the tasks it last received.
- An account, which needs a username, a password and an email address you can receive mail at.
- For reminders, which are optional: notification permission for dueby on your phone and, on Android, Google Play services.
Like any internet service, using dueby carries general risks, such as messages pretending to come from us, harmful software on your phone, or someone else using your phone or password. Keep your phone’s software up to date, use a password you do not use anywhere else, and remember that we will never ask for your password. Besides dueby’s own code, the app includes Google’s Firebase software, used only to receive notifications, as the Privacy Policy describes.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information, and use an email address you can receive mail at — it is how you recover your password.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what happens in your account unless it was caused by our failure to keep dueby secure. Tell us promptly at support@zygzula.com if you think someone else has access to it.
- One person per account. Do not create accounts by automated means or to impersonate someone else.
4. Your content
The tasks, descriptions and other content you put into dueby remain yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display that content only as needed to provide dueby to you and to the people you choose to share it with. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that remain for a limited time in backups, as the Privacy Policy describes.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to share it. Do not put information in dueby that you are not allowed to share, and remember that people you share a task with can see and, as editors, change it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use dueby to:
- harass, threaten, bully or send unwanted invitations to other people, or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- try to find out whether other people have accounts, other than by inviting people you know to share a task;
- access accounts or data that are not yours, probe or test the security of dueby, or interfere with its operation, including by excessive automated requests;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law expressly allows it; or
- break any law.
You can decline any invitation, and report abuse to support@zygzula.com. We may remove content that breaks these terms, and suspend or close accounts involved in serious or repeated breaches. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
6. Notifications
Reminders are a convenience. They depend on your settings, your phone, your connection and services run by Apple and Google, and may occasionally arrive late or not at all. Do not rely on dueby for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm — such as medication, safety-critical or legal deadlines.
7. Availability
We work to keep dueby available and your data safe, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that data can never be lost. We may interrupt it for maintenance or updates.
8. Ending your use
Your agreement with us under these terms begins when you create your account and continues, free of charge and for an indefinite period, until your account is deleted. You may stop using dueby at any time and delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop providing dueby — in that last case we will give you reasonable notice where possible.
9. Liability
dueby is provided free of charge and “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing in them affects rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
10. Complaints
If you think dueby does not work as these terms describe, or you are unhappy with how we have dealt with you, email support@zygzula.com with “Complaint” in the subject. Please include the username or email address of your account, what happened and when, and what you would like us to do. We will reply by email, to the address you wrote from, within 14 days of receiving your complaint.
For everyday help, just write to us as the Support page describes. Requests about your personal data, such as access or deletion, and complaints about how we handle it, are covered by the Privacy Policy.
11. If you downloaded dueby from the App Store
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for dueby or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claim relating to it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes someone else’s intellectual property — we are, to the extent these terms and the law provide. If dueby fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation for dueby. You must also comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use dueby, such as your mobile carrier’s. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of dueby downloaded from the App Store.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when dueby or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the new terms, you can delete your account before they take effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in its courts.
